Moving At The Speed Of Life
Without going into detail, let's just say Ambassador Service was put onto the backburner while I took care of other priorities.
This blog version of Ambassador Service is intended to be a draft of sorts for one or more novels. When I come to what would be a good conclusion of a story arc or a cliffhanger, I'll collect those blog posts, edit them into a different package, and spring it out as a book.
Part of the editing process also means making changes to create what I would consider stronger storlines or characters. The blog postings will not change, though. That way, you can compare the two versions, if you are so inclined.
This time away has given me an opportunity to think about what some of those changes could be, even though I am still a distance away from the first printed collection. Without creating any spoilers, here are a few changes you can expect when it goes to print:
Two characters will have changes in personality.
One character will have a change in motivation.
One storyline will be significantly altered.
I've also continued to add to my notes and spreadsheets. There won't be many of these sorts of updates, since I would rather use the time and energy to work on the story itself.
Rest assured, there are lots of things going on in our tiny Pacific Island nation. Stay tuned.
